Our commitment

Karen McPartlin and RE/MAX Realty 9 are committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. Access to housing information should not depend on how you browse the web.

Conformance target

This website is being built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. That includes meaningful text alternatives for images, sufficient colour contrast, visible keyboard focus, logical heading structure, labelled form fields, accessible accordions and navigation, captions and transcripts for video, and content that reflows without horizontal scrolling on small screens.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is a continuing process rather than a one-time certification. We test with keyboard navigation and automated tooling as pages are built, and we correct issues as they are identified. Some third-party content — for example embedded property search from a multiple listing service, embedded maps or embedded video players — is not fully under our control. Where a third-party component creates a barrier, we will provide the same information through another means on request.

An accessibility toolbar is not a substitute

This site may offer display preference controls. Such tools can be helpful, but they do not by themselves make a website accessible and we do not treat them as compliance. The underlying pages are built to be accessible.
